A Football Life, Week 8

This past week saw a lot of action on the waiver wire due to multiple injuries in Week 7. A lot of them panned out very well, a few others were left to rot on fantasy benches. In any case, it was an exciting week.

Antony B. won the Game of the Week, scoring 149.5 points, second in the league this season only to Evan A., who scored 149.9 in Week 1.

Evan A., who was unbeaten through seven weeks, suffered his first loss of the season. Ironically, it came at the hands of William B., who was 1-6 and dead last in the league entering the week.

This week’s winners averaged 108.5 points, up seven points from last week. The losing teams averaged 71.5 points, also up seven points from Week 7.

Game of the Week: Sean K. at Anthony B.

When every player on your team scores in double figures, you expect to win. That’s exactly how Anthony B. won and recorded the second highest score in the league this season. Frank Gore and Dez Bryant each scored 20 points while Calvin Johnson scored 40 to lead Anthony to a one-game lead in the NFC West.
