Story:
The AFC Championship was largely uncompetitive. The St.
Louis Rams defense kept the score close during the early Sunday time slot, but
the damage done by DeMarco Murray and Alshon Jeffery on Thursday night was too
much for Cory to overcome. Danny rode Murray, Jeffery and Jamaal Charles to
victory.
Looking to keep Danny from winning his second AFL title in
as many years will be Eric Meyer. He entered Monday night trailing Sean by 20.9
points with only Eddie Lacy yet to play. The Falcons defense could do little to
slow him, though, as Lacy carried his team to victory in the NFC Championship
game, scoring 21 points in the first half
alone.
AFL Championship
Eric Meyer (8-5) at Danny Hatcher (9-4)
An incredible first half performance from Eddie Lacy on Monday night,
with just a bit of cushion in the second half, brought Eric back from a
20.9-point deficit in the NFC Championship game and sets him up for a worst to
first opportunity in the 2014 fantasy championship (he tied for the worst
record in A Football Life in 2013).
To finish his quest, however, he’ll have to go through Danny, the
defending champ coming off a 141.3-point outing in the AFC championship. Eric
won the regular season meeting, 110.1-92.3 in Week 10.
