Another week is in the books and we have just two more weeks
left before our first bye-week of the season. With a lot of injuries to
fantasy-relevant players this week, not to mention the various suspensions and
deactivations, the waiver wire will be crazy in the coming weeks.
Saswat Misra’s Washington
RedCapWizTerps led the AFL in scoring for Week 2. His team put up 124.7
points in a route of the 2013 AFL champ, Danny Hatcher. Aaron Rodgers led his
team to victory with a big second half comeback against the New York Jets.
Saswat got this win despite Adrian Peterson being
deactivated for Minnesota’s game against New England. Saswat was a 29.9-point
underdog based on ESPN’s projections.
The six winning teams from Week 2 averaged 106.0 points,
down almost three points from last week. The six losing teams averaged 74.6
points, down 13 points from last week.
After putting a player among the top five scorers at each position
last week, William Massimini failed to put even one in the top five of any position
this week. Cory Puffett matched William’s Week 1 feat and Saswat Misra
registered three scorers in the top five of their respective positions.
The waiver wire play of the week goes to Saswat Misra, who
picked up Jonathan Stewart as his flex while Frank Gore moved to RB as Adrian
Peterson’s replacement. Stewart scored 13.8 points with a touchdown and a
22-yard reception in Carolina’s 24-7 victory over Detroit.

Battle at William Massimini
The lowest-scoring matchup of the week came down to Monday
Night Football. Anthony Battle had Darren Sproles and William Massimini had
Zach Ertz. Sproles was a vulture, taking almost all the passing down reps from
LeSean McCoy and turned in the number two RB performance of the week. That led Anthony
to a 2-0 start and an early-season lead in the NFC West.
