Sunday Football Afterword: Ravens vs Packers

Receivers dropped like flies and Rodgers took a while to warm up.
Rookie RB Eddie Lacy picked up the slack, racking up over
100 rushing yards against the Ravens defense.

Baltimore is starting to look like a classic team. The offense struggles for most of the game and then relies on the defense and special teams to bail them out.

On paper, Joe Flacco had a great game with over 300 yards passing and two touchdowns. In reality, they came up with scoring drives too little too late against a hot and cold Green Bay Packers team. If not for a few blown coverages and some bad play calling, Baltimore could have squeaked out a win. Instead they were plagued by a bad run game and could not get much going at all.

The Packers established a steady run game, which opened up the pass late in the game with a long touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson.

Ray Rice needs to find his rhythm if this team is going to have a balanced attack. It was a good game defensively for the Ravens, but I would like to see more offensive production if this Ravens team wants any shot at making or doing anything in the playoffs.

Final Score:
Green Bay Packers – 19
Baltimore Ravens – 17
