As we near the midpoint of the 2014 season, we are now
without an undefeated team after the winless Balt/Atl Engineers knocked off the
Missing Rings. In fact, the top three teams in the league all lost in Week 5 to
opponents with inferior records, showing that the AFL has a little more parity
so far than it did last season.
Eric Meyer’s Raging
P****** paced the league with 131.5 points in Week 5. The AFL has had much
more trade activity this year and Eric was able to get Demaryius Thomas, who
led all players this week with 37.8 points. Solid games from Eddie Lacy, Jay
Cutler and Dez Bryant aided in his big week.
The six winning teams from Week 5 averaged 107.4 points, down
16 points from last week and down 1 point from Week 1. The six losing teams
averaged 85.8 points, up about 4 points from last week but still about 2 points
lower than the Week 1 average.
Only two teams managed three players to finish among the top
5 scorers at their positions this week. Eric Meyer had four players, only
missing a tight end for the “cycle,” if you will. Danny Hatcher had one at each
position except for quarterback.

changed to the names of their owners):

Game of the Week: William
Massimini at Sean Kennedy
Things were looking iffy for Sean after Sunday’s 1pm games,
but Peyton Manning and Antonio Brown had big performances in their respective
games during the late afternoon time slot. Manning was the top QB and Gates was
the 3rd highest-scoring TE for the week and they gave Sean a lead A.J. Green
couldn’t eliminate on Sunday night.
