I finally had a week to take pride in, 9 game over .500 on
the week (12-3) and got myself back up over .500 on the season. It isn’t by
much, but it’s a start and hopefully I’ll be able to build on that and end up
with a respectable final record.

Games to Watch
(Predicted winners in Bold)
Thursday, Oct. 4,
2012, 8:20pm – Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams
The Cardinals are undefeated, have one of the league’s best
defensive units, and have a quarterback whose stock is rising substantially.
The Rams don’t have all those things, but they’ve won some close games,
including one against probably an even better defensive team in Seattle. The
Cardinals have a better offense than the Seahawks, but the Rams are a decent
team and may be able to handle it.
Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012,
1:00pm – Atlanta Falcons @ Washington Redskins
The Redskins are at home following a tough road win. The
Falcons, who usually excel at home, barely pulled their home game out against
Carolina this week. What does that mean for Atlanta going on the road this
weekend? Maybe nothing; maybe everything.
Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012,
1:00pm – Philadelphia Eagles @ Pittsburgh Steelers
The Eagles are 3-1, but could easily be 1-3. They aren’t
though, and they’ve been scrappy to get a couple of those wins. But this past
weekend, there is no doubt that the Eagles outplayed their opponent and
deserved their victory. The Steelers are coming off a bye, which can always
help a good team perform even better.
Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012,
4:25pm – Denver Broncos @ New England Patriots
Peyton Manning said that the rivalry was always Colts versus
Patriots, not between himself and Tom Brady. But, what about Manning versus Bill
Belichick? These are two of the best football minds that have ever been a part
of the game. Belichick is probably the only coach in history that could confuse
Manning on any consistent basis. This will be much closer than last year’s
divisional round playoff game, and could be even closer than many expect this
one to be.
Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012,
8:20pm – San Diego Chargers @ New Orleans Saints
The Saints are 0-4, but they’re as dangerous as an 0-4 team
can be. The Chargers are also a good team, but they don’t always perform to the
level they should and often get intimidated heading into opponents’ territory.
Heck, they’ve seemed to get intimidated in their home stadium at times.
