The Broncos made it a point to get Demaryius Thomas involved, and Peyton Manning hooked up with him seven times for three touchdowns. |

Peyton Manning had an excellent game. With 33 touchdowns,
Manning is still on pace to break the touchdown record, and he may even take
the passing yards record, as well. Demaryius Thomas had a good day, catching
three of Manning’s four touchdowns passes.
The Denver defense once again struggled and almost gave up
the lead late in the 4th quarter. [Puff’s contribution: The
offensive line is also an area of concern and will need some serious attention
if Denver hopes to avoid last season’s playoff fate.]
Philip Rivers continued his great second half and forced a
sack fumble late in the game. I can see the Chargers making a push for a
wildcard spot since Denver and Kansas City are now far out of reach.
Overall, it was an entertaining game, but in the end it was
clear why Denver is 8-1 and San Diego is just above .500. Denver is looking
more like the dominant team they were last year and will continue to improve in
the coming weeks.
Final Score:
Denver Broncos – 28
San Diego Chargers – 20
