Happy November, everyone! I hope you all enjoyed Halloween
yesterday and are ready for some more football as Week 9 begins tonight with
the Chiefs playing in San Diego.
Week 8 reminded us all just how inconsistent and unpredicted
the NFL is this season. We’ll see how Week 9 goes.
Week 9 Byes: New England Patriots, New York Jets, San

Games to Watch
(Predicted winners in Bold)
Thursday, Nov. 1,
2012, 8:20pm – Kansas City Chiefs @
San Diego Chargers
The Chargers are struggling. They couldn’t even beat the
lowly Browns. The Chiefs may not be much better than Cleveland, but they are an
AFC West opponent, which means they know the Chargers better than Cleveland. If
Kansas City commits to the run early, it will be a long day for San Diego.
Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012,
1:00pm – Denver Broncos @ Cincinnati
Bengals
This game has ‘trap’ written all over it, but I don’t think
it’s possible for the Bengals to open up big enough of a lead early for Manning
& Co. to be out of it, especially against a Broncos defense that shut down
the most explosive offense in the NFL just a week ago.
Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012,
1:00pm – Carolina Panthers @ Washington
Redskins
The Redskins struggled mightily against the Steelers, but
the Panthers defense is porous, perhaps even more so than Washington’s. The
Panthers offense is also struggling, which means Washington’s defense should
actually be able to keep their team in it.
Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012,
1:00pm – Miami Dolphins @ Indianapolis
Colts
The Dolphins routed the Jets, who routed the Colts, who …
will rout the ‘Fins? I’m not so sure it will be a route, but in this middle
pack of the league, nothing from past weeks can really be used going forward,
so I’m going with the home team and the better quarterback.
Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012,
4:25pm – Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York
Giants
The Giants barely edged the Redskins and barely edged the
Cowboys. The Steelers haven’t played Dallas yet, but they shut down an
excellent Redskins offense and torched their defense. But the Giants are on a
roll. Even after the near loss in Dallas, I think the Giants are better than
ever.
